London Plus CU Goes Live with Integrated Debit Card Service

London Plus Credit Union has gone live with a new integrated debit card. For more than a year, Progress Systems has worked closely with our partners at London Plus Credit Union, and Optimus Cards Group, to provide a new contactless debit card for London Plus members.

The MasterCard debit card is linked to a member’s account, meaning Credit Union members can pay for things on-the-go with a mere tap. The launch of the card also comes on the back of the introduction of our Online Banking module, where members’ can check balances live, manage payments, and apply for their loan online with ease.

“In today’s competitive financial services market, use of technology is key,” said Tom Owens, Director of Progress Systems. “Progress Systems are delighted to have implemented online banking along with the Integrated Debit Card Project with London plus Credit Union through the Optimus Platform”.

According to London Plus Credit Union, over “60% of all member transactions are now coming through online” with transfers being conducted “80% faster”.

There’s no doubt, the introduction of the new contactless debit card, along with Online banking, will allow London Plus Credit Union to be at the forefront of the Credit Union movement.
